TV Personalities Maria Rose, Danny Elswick Entertain at Oakland Armory Many television viewers who tune in every Saturday night to the RFD-TV network and the "Midwest Country" TV show may already be familiar with entertainers Maria Rose & Danny Elswick. They filmed the show two times, in June and October, 2007, and are aired frequently as regular performers. You can meet them and see them perform in person at the annual "Joy of Christ" event at the Oakland Armory on Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 starting at 6:30pm. (The event actually takes place all week, starting Monday, Dec. 3, with lots of free entertainment, food and drinks.) This will be the fifth year in which Maria and Danny have been part of the family-oriented celebration in Oakland, and each year, they add to their list of friends and fans due to their audience-pleasing performance. "This is one of our favorite events, and I am so glad Paul Browning, (the event director), asks us to come back every year. It is truly a very rewarding event, and we really need more events like this around the entire country", says Maria. Maria and Danny have entertained 11 times overseas with the USO to entertain our Armed Forces in remote areas of the world, and constantly strive to bring about an awareness of the military through their ongoing visits and performances at Veterans homes around the country. They've released 10 CD projects, many of them recorded in their own studio in Parkville, Maryland. In their most recent travels, and after filming the Midwest Country show on Oct. 20th, they entertained on a three week tour in Texas and Louisiana.
